PCT celebrated its annual Culinary Festival with the theme "Indigenous flavors, Global taste and Services"

The Hospitality and Tourism Department of the Philippine College of Technology celebrated its annual Culinary Festival with the theme "Indigenous flavors, Global taste and Services" last February 27,2023.All students from the Hospitality and Tourism carried out various practical skills, promoted indigenous food,ingredients and materials, celebrated culinary heritage and hospitality tradition.
The students showcased their skills in table setting, culinary, bartending, wedding events set up, housekeeping, tour guiding and food and beverage services.
The Judges for the competitions were composed of the following:
Mr. Takafumi Yamashita the Managing Director and Mr. Taichi Asai the General Manager of KURETEKESO CO.,LTD shared their expertise in the field of International Hospitality and Tourism.
Ms.Hisano Hori, the Representative of the Board of Directors of Global Human Resource Support Hamamatsu guided the students on how to align their skills to industry standards.
All the judges shared valuable inputs, best practices and advice that enabled the students to build a collective knowledge and new perspective in the field of Hospitality and Tourism.
The festival was also witnessed by the General Manager of JOBSCONNECT Manpower Agency Davao Branch Ms. Ma.Teresita Gatdula, the partner POEA registered Manpower company of PCT and the officers from the Davao Investment and Promotions Center led by the IASU Head Economist III Mr. Christian Cambaya.
The event ended with the awarding of winners.PCT is thankful for the active involvement of the faculty and students.Their creativity, teamwork, and dedication contributed to the success of the Festival.
The ONE STOP CONCEPT of PCT prepared the students to be skillful in their field of specialization, to be certified through skills assessment and ready for employment.
